Villanova loses to the Blue Devils, 75-47.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Michele VanGorp scored 23 points, shooting 8-for-12 from the field and 7-for-7 from the line, as No. 20 Duke beat Villanova 75-47 on Saturday in the first round of the Duke Women's Basketball Classic.
Duke (3-3) advanced to the championship game against Marquette, a 77-61 winner over No. 13 Florida.
Hilary Howard added 11 points and Peppi Browne had 12 for the Blue Devils. Jenn Sliwa led Villanova (2-2) with 11 points, and Brandi Barnes added 10. |
