HAVERFORD, PA. - Liad Suez scored 11 points and Courtney Mix added eight points and eight rebounds as the Villanova women's basketball squad raced to a 66-46 win over the Turkish National Team in an exhibition contest on Saturday afternoon.

Villanova rushed out to a 15-4 lead early in the game behind hot three-point shooting, as Kelly Nash, Courtney Roantree and Suez all hit from behind the arc. The Wildcats connected on 13 of their 29 trifectas in the game.

The Turkish National Team closed to within seven, 22-15 on a basket by Yasemin Horasan at 7:35, but the Wildcats took a 33-26 lead to the locker room.

Arzu Ozyigit and Horasan led the Turkish National Team's comeback to start the second half, as the squad trimmed the gap to 41-34 with 15:34 left to play.

With less than eight minutes remaining, the Wildcats pushed the lead to 56-38, fueled by strong play from Kate Dessar-Mager and Betsy McManus.

The Wildcat defense played tough, holding the Turkish National Tam without a field goal for nearly seven minutes late in the second half, which helped send Villanova to the 66-46 win.

For Villanova, Jackie Adamshick finished with nine points, while seven other Wildcats also filled the scoring column.

Horasan tallied a team-high nine points for the Turkish National Team, while Ozyigit added seven points and 10 boards.
