BOSTON (AP) - Kathrin Ress scored a career-high 28 points and 14th-ranked Boston College won its 11th straight game, 77-63 over Villanova Wednesday night.

The victory moved the Eagles (12-1, 3-0 Big East) within one win of their school-record 12-game winning streak, set during the 1999-2000 season.

Aja Parham posted a career-best 17 points for BC. Jessalyn Deveny added 12 points and Brooke Queenan 11.

Jennifer Hilgenberg led the Wildcats (9-5, 2-1) with 15 points and Kate Dessart Mager had 13.

Ress went 12-of-14 from the floor, and the Eagles shot 57.1 percent (28-of-49).

BC, which shot 72 percent in the first half (18-of-25), went into the break with a 47-30 lead, its biggest scoring opening half of the season. Ress led the way with 17 points.

BC took advantage of Villanova's poor shooting, opening a 17-2 lead on Ress' basket 8:02 into the game. Ress had eight points in the run.

The closest the Wildcats got was 10 points early in the second half, but BC responded with a 12-1 run to push its lead to 64-43 on Parham's basket with 10:54 to play.
