With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 22-8 on the season, while Marquette improves to 21-9 on the season.
The Big East Conference today announced the 2013-14 women's basketball All-Conference teams and major award winners. Villanova senior guard Devon Kane (Springfield, Pa.) was named first team All-Conference, while sophomore guard Caroline Coyer (Oak Hill, Va.) was selected as the league's Sixth Man of the Year.
The Villanova Wildcats will be the No. 4 seed in next weekend's Big East Women's Basketball Tournament to be held at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Ill. Villanova finished the regular season with a 22-7 overall record and a 12-6 Big East mark. The 12-6 record was good enough for a third place tie in the final standings with Creighton.

It will be Senior Night on the Main Line Tuesday evening when Villanova plays host to the Marquette Golden Eagles. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at The Pavilion. The Wildcats enter play 21-7 overall and 11-6 in Big East play, while Marquette is 20-8 overall and 11-6 in conference action.
