Assistant Coach


Entering her fifth season as a Villanova assistant coach is Denise Dillon. After serving as the third assistant for the first three years, Dillon earned a promotion in 1999-2000 and is now the team?s second assistant. Dillon?s duties at Villanova include on-court coaching instruction, game preparation and the recruitment of student-athletes.

Dillon is by no means a stranger to the Wildcat program, as she was a four-year standout under head coach Harry Perretta from 1992-96. During her career on the Main Line, Dillon tallied 1,355 points (5th all-time), grabbed 677 rebounds (6th all-time) and recorded 228 assists (17th all-time).

Throughout her playing days, Dillon achieved numerous accolades including earning first team All-Big East honors in 1994-95. Her other accomplishments include second team All-Big East in 1995-96, a three-time Philadelphia Big Five first team choice (1993-96) and she was a unanimous Big East All-Rookie team selection (1992-93).

Dillon graduated from Villanova in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She is single and resides in Broomall, Pa.
