Villanova, Pa.--The Life Skills program kicked off on September 14th with a program introduction on what is to come. All freshman student-athletes attend these classes to ease the transition from high school to college. Each class starts out with a recap of how teams competed in the previous week and we especially announce any accomplishments by freshman. So far, we have 3 Big East Rookie of the Weeks by 3 different freshman student-athletes, Nikki Mabery (Women's Soccer), Stephanie Olsen (Volleyball) and Danny DeMasters (Men's Soccer).
Each week is a different presentation regarding topics that are relevant to all college students. A number of staff and faculty from Villanova University present programs in their respected field.
There are eleven programs ranging from AIDS and the college student to Career Choices. It is spread throughout first semester and all but one are in the mornings. More information on Villanova University's Life Skills program, please contact Mary Anne Dowling at 610-519-4112.
