April 28, 2003

On Wednesday, April 9th, coaches, administrators, mentors and student-athletes gathered for Villanova's Annual Celebration of National Student-Athlete Appreciation Week. The luncheon, hosted by Athletics Student Services, was held in the Villanova Room of the Connelly Center.

This year's achievements, academically, athletically and in the community, were honored in a video montage and in the awarding of the Sister Mary Margaret Cribben Award. The 2003 recipients, Stephen Leaman of Men's Soccer and Trish Juhline of Women's Basketball, were honored for their "unselfish sacrifice of time, effort, body and soul to lead and motivate their teammates in excellence for Villanova Athletics through Inspiration."

Villanova further plans to honor the achievements of their seniors at the Senior Recognition Dinner to be held later next month.
