On January 23rd, the Villanova Women's Water Polo Team visited the West Philadelphia Community Center to help out with their after school program for a day. Team members helped with homework, read during storytime and played games in the gym. Co-captain Jenny Rosick even went so far as to give an impromptu water polo lesson in the pool.
"It was really cold, but the kids still came out to play. I was really impressed," said Rosick.
Sophomores Chesed Ceniseroz, Aimee Corsiglia and Denise Hanes, along with assistant coach, Ann Kratzinger, even got to show their artistic talents in designing and decorating the center's main bulletin board.
The team is currently preparing for its first match of the season, Saturday, February 15, against Arizona State at the Princeton Tournament, but hopes to make it back to the Community Center several other afternoons before the school year is out.
