VILLANOVA, Pa. - 5,000m finals results

Bobby Curtis entered the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore., ranked 15th in the nation in the 5,000m. On Monday, June 30, Curtis crossed the finish line in 13:35.00 to finish sixth in the finals, just missing out on qualifying to the Olympics, as the top three runners advance.

Curtis entered the trials after claiming the national championship in the 5,000m earlier in June and ran for Reebok in the Olympic Trials.

Running for Nike, Bernard Lagat finished first with a time of 13:27.47, while Matt Tegenkamp, running for Nike, and Ian Dobson, running for adidas, finished second and third respectively and will run in Beijing in August. Tegenkamp's time was 13:29.68, while Dobson finished in 13:29.76.
