HAVERFORD, Pa. - Sophomore distance runner Michael Kerrigan (Stroudsburg, Pa.) became the fifth men's track athlete to qualify for next month's NCAA Regional on Wednesday, as he ran a time of 3:48.21 in the 1500 meters at the Haverford Meet. Kerrigan paced the field of 19 runners to win the race, and his time matched the qualifying standard for the NCAA Regional. His time at Haverford was more than four seconds faster than his top time of the season. At the Penn Invitational earlier in the season, Kerrigan qualified for the Big East Championship with a time of 3:52.58.

Freshman Sam Pawluk (East Richmond, British Columbia) also ran in the 1500 meters, and finished third with a time of 3:53.10. It was his fastest time in four races in the event this spring, and he qualified for the Big East Championship next month.

Sophomore Jonathan Kolodziej (Danbury, Conn.) qualified for the conference meet in the 800 meter run. His time of 1:53.52 was 0.12 seconds faster than the Big East standard, and was good enough to put him in second place in a field of 20 runners.
