Men's DMR is Ninth at NCAA Indoor Championships

The men's distance medley relay finished in ninth place at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Championships at the Randall Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. on Friday evening. The Wildcats were just .05 seconds short of earning All-American status.
"I was disappointed for the boys, as I was hoping to see them get All-American status," head coach Marcus O'Sullivan said. "On the positive side it was great to see them make nationals."
Junior Carl Mackenzie led-off for the 'Cats with the 1,200m leg where he recorded a split of 2:56.30 before passing the baton to senior Garrett Kroner who completed the 400m leg in 48.06. Senior Cody Harper ran the 800m leg in 1:51.02 as sophomore Mathew Mildenhall took the baton to anchor the squad with the 1,600m leg, which he ran in 4:04.59.
The quartet recorded a time of 9:39.96.
Oregon won the event with a combined time of 9:36.87 followed by Arkansas in 9:37.53. Minnesota owned third place.
