VILLANOVA, Pa. - The men's and women's indoor track teams will open the 2008 calendar schedule this Saturday at the Penn State Relays. Members of both teams will compete primarily in the distance relays at Horace Ashenfelter Track. Both teams are returning to competition for the second indoor meet of the season, which opened with the annual Jack Pyrah Invitational in December.

The women's team will have entries in the distance relays and several sprinters will also compete in individual events. Freshman Audrey Gariepy-Bogui (Potomac, Md.) will run in the hurdles and compete in the high jump while freshmen Kristen Mahon (Robbinsville, N.J.) and Jessona McDonald (Queens, N.Y.) will each run in the 300 meters. Sophomore Makalia Griffith (Jamaica, N.Y.) will compete in the 500 meters.

On the men's side, the Wildcats will have entries mainly in the distance relay events.

Following this weekend's meet, both teams will next be in action at the NYC Gotham Cup next Friday.
