Robert McDade, Sean Tully, and Drew Eckman Set Meet Records at Jack Pyrah Invitational

Villanova, Pa. - Senior Robert McDade (Broomall, Pa.), junior Drew Eckman and freshman Sean Tully (Syosset, N.Y.) each set meet records and led the Wildcat men to a strong performance at the Jack Pyrah Invitational this afternoon.
McDade's throw of 60'7.25" shattered his own record in the weight throw, which he set last year. McDade also placed third in the shot put (49'5"). Junior Jon Zachariw (West Chester, Pa.) competed in the weight throw as well and finished fifth with a throw of 45'7.75".
Eckman destroyed the previous record in the 800m dash. The junior ran the event in 1:55.45, taking over three seconds off the old time. Freshman Brandon Eck (State College, Pa.) placed third in 2:00.21.
Tully established his meet record in the 1000m run. The freshman improved the mark by over 3/10ths of a second, from 2:28.43 to 2:28.10. Junior Mark Korich (Wyndmoor, Pa.) and Tully's twin brother Dan placed 2-3 with times of 2:28.72 and 2:30.33 respectively.
Juniora Andrew Keino (Bon Air, Va.) and Michael Kerrigan (Stroudsburg, Pa.) finished 1-2 in the 5000m run. Keino crossed the line in 14:46.96 and Kerrigan in 15:02.40.
Senior John Wilsman (Philadelphia, Pa.) was the fourth Wildcat to win his event, taking first in the 500m dash with a time of 1:04.18.
Sophomore Kevin Okolie (Dix Hills, N.Y.) competed in two events and placed second in the 300m dash, in 36.71, and fourth in the 55m dash, in 6.57.
Senior Nick Burkey (Greenbrae, Calif.) and freshman William Sepich (Delran, N.J.) competed in the 55m hurdles and the 1 mile run respectively. Burkey finished second with a time of 7.99, while Sepich placed third in 4:38.55.
