NEWARK, DEL. - On Feb. 7th in the first day of the Thomson Invitational at the University of Delaware, the Villanova track & field squad began competition in several field events.

Tim Reilly won the men's polt vault competition on Saturday. His mark of 4.65m placed him first in the event, ahead of second plave Chris Cashin of Monmouth (4.05m).

Erik Lindquist placed 10th in the men's weight throw with a mark of 13.05m.

In the women's weight throw, Brette Husar placed eighth with a mark of 9.95m

The Wildcats will get back into action on Sunday in day two of the Thomson Invitational.
