Men Win DMR at Adidas Boston Indoor Games

On Saturday, Jan. 31st, the Villanova men's track & field team was spread all across the east coast, competing at the Adidas Boston Indoor Games, the Penn State National Invitational and the Widener Invitational. The highlight of the weekend came at the Adidas Boston Indoor Games where the Wildcat DMR team took home a first place finish with an NCAA Automatic Qualifying Time.
The Villanova DMR squad was composed of Bobby Curtis (2:57), Drew Eckman (:47), Paul Moser (1:50) and Tom Parlapiano (3:58) who finished the race with a time of 9:34.72.
At Penn State, the Wildcats had a number of top finishes. Kippy Keino took home a third place finish in the one mile run with a time of 4:08.65. In the men's 1,000m run, Jason Jabaut placed third with a mark of 2:26.44. Other top 10 finishers included Carlos Bedoya who placed eighth in the 400m (48.35), and Mark Carberry who finished seventh in the 1,000m run (2:28.65).
At the Widener Invitational on Saturday, Nick Burkey finished fourth in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.15. In addition, Joe Straub was eighth in the shot put (12.88m), and Jon Zacharkiw was seventh in the weight throw (12.82m) and 14th in the shot put (12.30m).
