Thomas Conboy was the pole vault champion and Jack Judge was the runner-up in the javelin on first day of BIG EAST meet.
Villanova competed in the Championship of America DMR and several other events at the Penn Relays on April 28, 2017.

2017-18 Indoor: Earned All-BIG EAST honors in both the 60 meters and the 200 meters for the second time in his career ... Came in second in the 200 meters with a time of 21.53 and third in the 60 meters with a time of 6.89 at the BIG EAST Championships ... Those times were lowered from marks of 21.87 and 6.91, respectively, in the preliminary heats at the conference meet ... Set a personal best time of 6.88 in the 60 meters at the Columbia Challenge ... The time is tied for the fourth-fastest in school history ... He recorded the mark in the preliminary heats of the seeded section at the Columbia meet, and he went on to finish seventh in the final with a time of 6.90 ... Also finished sixth in the seeded section of the 200 meters with a time of 21.84 at the Columbia Challenge ... Placed seventh in the invitational section of the 200 meters (21.91) at the FastTrack National Invite ... Ran the 400 meters at the Villanova Invitational and came in eighth with a time of 49.74 ... 2017 Outdoor: Scored in the 100 meters, the 200 meters and the 4x100 meter relay at the BIG EAST Championships ... Runner-up in the 100 meters with a time of 10.80 in the final after finishing fifth in the preliminary heats with a season-best time of 10.75 ... Was ranked fourth in the preliminaries of the 200 meters in 21.55 and finished sixth in the final ... Ran the second leg of the 4x100 meter relay which finished fourth in 42.68 ... Competed on both the 4x100 relay and the 4x400 meter relay at the Penn Relays ... Ran the second leg of the 4x100 relay which tallied a time of 42.59 in the preliminary heats, and took the third leg of the 4x400 relay which recorded a time of 3:18.88 in the preliminaries ... Competed individually at the Penn Relays in the heats of the 100 meters and finished 16th overall with a time of 10.86 ... Ran both the 100 meters and the 200 meters at the Larry Ellis Invitational, where he recorded times of 10.94 and 21.90, respectively ... Recorded a time of 7.04 to rank sixth in the preliminary heats, before coming in seventh in the final in 7.11.
2016 Outdoor: Double winner at the BIG EAST Championships, where he captured conference titles in both the 100 meters and the 200 meters ... Named the Most Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet for those performances ... First Villanova athlete since 2007 to earn the Performer of the Meet award at the outdoor conference championships ... Only the second Villanova athlete (Salaam Gariba) to pull off a 100-200 double at the BIG EAST meet ... Ranked second after the preliminary heats in both the 100 meters and the 200 meters before surging to win the final of both events ... Registered a personal best time of 10.64 in the final of the 100 meters after crossing the finish line in 10.87 during the preliminary round ...
