On Kelly: Part of the Wildcats incoming freshman class this season who will compete in the high jump ... Possesses a wealth of potential and should grow into a contributor on the team as he gains collegiate experience ... Has the ability to be a consistent BIG EAST scorer.

2018 Indoor:
Earned All-BIG EAST honors for a third place finish in the high jump at the BIG EAST Championships ... Cleared the bar at 1.95 meters at the conference meet ... His season best mark was 1.97 meters in a third place place finish at the Villanova Invitational ... Had a height of 1.96 meters and finished ninth in his collegiate debut at the Nittany Lion Challenge ... Came in eigthh at the Penn 8-Team Select meet with a height of 1.95 meters ... Competed in the seeded section at the Columbia Challenge and was successful at a height of 1.93 meters ... Recorded a mark of 1.89 meters to tie for fifth place in the college section at the FastTrack National Invite.

Longmeadow High School:
Competed all four years on the indoor track & field team and during his junior and senior years on the outdoor squad ... Also played lacrosse as a freshman and was a defender ... Captain of both the indoor and outdoor track & field teams as a senior ... School record holder in the high jump with a mark of 2.01 meters ... As a senior was the Western/Central Massachusetts Division 1 champion in the high jump and went on to finish third in New England ... Was the Western Massachusetts high jump champion as both a junior and a senior ... Two-time Western Massachusetts first team performer and was a Super 7 selection by Masslive as a senior ... Achieved Honor Roll status academically all four years.

Personal: Born 4/18/99 in Springfield, Mass. ... Oldest of three children and the only son of Joshua and Rebecca Kelly ... Has two younger sisters, Sarah (16) and Lucille (7) ... Father was a collegiate rower at Massachusetts ... Hobbies include mountain biking, snowboarding, traveling and singing ... Was a member of his high school's honor choir, "Lyrics," for two years ... Chose to attend Villanova for its historical success in track & field and for the recognition the university has received for its academic prestige ... Also noted the size of the school and the success of the men's basketball team as deciding factors ... Enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
