On Osuagwu: Had a successful first year of collegiate competition after earning a walk-on roster spot prior to the 2016-17 season ... Hard worker whose top events are the 100 meters and the 200 meters outdoors ... Was able to help the team as part of the 4x100 meter relay during the 2017 outdoor campaign ... Will continue to gain experience as he gets more races under his belt.

2017-18 Indoor: Registered a personal best time of 7.34 in the 60 meters at the season-opening Jack Pyrah Invitational ... Doubled up at the Penn 8-Team Select, where he recorded a time of 7.43 in the preliminary heats of the 60 meters and also ran the 200 meters in 24.22.

2017 Outdoor: Anchored the Villanova lineup in the 4x100 meter relay at both the Penn Relays and the BIG EAST Championships ... The team came in fourth at the BIG EAST meet with a time of 42.68 and recorded a time of 42.59 in the preliminary heats at the Penn Relays ... Ran both the 100 meters and the 200 meters at three meets during the season ... His top times in each event came at the Haverford Invitational, where he won the 100 meters in 11.41 and finished third in the 200 meters with a time of 23.41 ... Registered times of 11.67 and 23.50 at the season-opening Penn Challenge ... Came in 11th in the 200 meters (23.78) and 12th in the 100 meters (11.73) at the Sam Howell Invitational.

2016-17 Indoor: Made his collegiate debut at the season-opening Jack Pyrah Invitational, where he posted a personal best time of 7.35 in the 60 meters and tallied a ninth place finish.

Tatnall School:
Earned four varsity letters each in indoor and outdoor track & field, as well as four in football as a middle linebacker and fullback … Two-time DIAA track & field state champion … Competed for one year for the Above Xpectations Track Club … His 17-18 age group won an AAU Club Championship title in 2016 … Achieved Honor Roll status academically all four years … Winner of the Frances D.S. Tatnall Scholar Award in 2015.

Personal: Born 12/6/98 in Lagos, Nigeria … One of four children of Eze and Celestina Osuagwu … Siblings are Ezenwa (20), Onyinyechi (16) and Uchechi (14) … Chose to attend Villanova for its inviting and friendly campus atmosphere, as well as the university’s excellent academic and athletic reputations … Majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Chemistry.
