NORFOLK, Va. - Villanova men's tennis player John Drosick paced the Wildcats this past weekend at the Hampton Road's Collegiate Tennis Invitation of Newport News. The freshman advanced to the finals in the Men's D Singles Flight before bowing out to his competitor at the Old Dominion University Tennis Complex in Norfolk, Va.

Teammate Alex Leeser also had a strong showing over the weekend. The sophomore made his way into the semifinals in the Men's C Singles Flight before falling short by scores of 6-1, 6-2. In addition, Leeser partnered with freshman David Shaheen in Men's Doubles - Flight C. The duo advanced to the semifinals, but could not seal the win to reach the finals.

The Villanova women faced some highly competitive opponents and struggled to generate wins throughout the weekend.
