VILLANOVA, Pa.— This weekend the Villanova men’s tennis team will travel to Providence, RI to compete in the Brown Invitational. Matches are set to begin Friday Sept. 29 and will wrap-up on Sunday, Oct. 1. The invitational has a similar format to the Villanova invitational where the doubles teams will face off in a doubles match as well as two singles matches.
This past weekend the Wildcats traveled to Philadelphia, Pa. where they participated in the Saint Joseph’s Invitational. The squad received strong play from all participants, as three Wildcats won their flight in the consolation draw.
The first Wildcats duo to see action on Firday will be Tyler Roth and Tommy Dodson as they face Colgate in flight one of competition.
In flight two, Will Elmore and Tommy Mulfur will faceoff against Boston College while Stefan Suarez and Mike Czlonka will see action against Bryant. Suarez will compete in singles of flight two while Dylan Flanagan will replace Czlonka in singles.
Alastair Hurry and Matt Phelps will compete in flight three for the Wildcats. Hurry and Phelps will compete against Colgate to round out competition for Villanova.
