Men's Tennis Competes at Bloomsburg Invitational

Villanova, Pa.-Villanova men's tennis traveled to Bloomsburg College over the weekend to compete in the Bloomsburg Invitational against Bucknell, Binghamton and host Bloomsburg.
Dimitri Chimerakis had the best singles record on the men's side, going 2-1 over the two day invitational. He defeated Ira Reibeisen from Bucknell 6-1, 6-0 and Alex Lampros of Bloomsburg 6-1, 6-1. Charlie Farmer, Scott Fahrendorf and Brian Maher all finished with overall records of 1-2.
On the doubles side, Dimitri Chimerakis and Brian Maher won two matches against Ira Reibeisen and Matt Pickus of Bucknell 9-7 and Dan Gal and Alex Lampros of Bloomsburg 8-1. Scott Fahrendorf and Charlier Farmer teamed up to win 8-4 over Bucknell's Asher Salam and John Lashnits and 8-1 over Bloomsburg's Ryan Glubo and Dan Phillips. Larry Tran and Sumanth Chittajallu recorded a 8-3 win for Villanova affer defeating Geoff Whitely of Bucknell and Danish Ali from Binghamton.
