VILLANOVA, Pa.-- The Villanova Men's Tennis squad will travel to California this week for multiple matches. First, they be in action at UC San Diego on Mar. 1 at 12 p.m., then will compete in the Pacific Coast Doubles Mar. 2 and Mar.4. The Wildcats will wrap play with matches against Boise State, Concordia (Calif.), UC Irvine, and UC Riverside.
Villanova was in action this past weekend when they traveled to Navy on Saturday afternoon to compete against Navy and Monmouth. At Navy, the Wildcats received strong play for everyone, but eventually fell to the Midshipmen, 4-0. Next, they would face Monmouth in which the Wildcats would be routed, 4-0.
Last season at Pacific Coast Doubles, Villanova defeated Youngstown State, 4-3. At UC Irvine the Wildcats were defeated, 6-1 but swept Concordia in Costa Mesa, Calif., 7-0. They wrapped up play last season at UC Riverside where they were unable to pick up the win, 4-3.
