Takoma Park, Md. - Villanova men's tennis was dealt their second loss of the 2007 season as Maryland, ranked #72 nationally, defeated the Wildcats by a score of 7-0. Villanova falls to an overall record of 0-2, as Maryland climbs another notch to 4-0.

Villanova was able to take a point in the doubles competition with the combined efforts of junior Scott Fahrendorf and sophomore Brian Maher. Fahrendorf and Maher defeated Maryland's David Kwon and Boris Fetbroyt in the second doubles spot by a score of 8-5. However, Maryland was able to overcome Villanova in first and third doubles, while also sweeping all six singles spots to clinch the victory.

Next up for the Wildcats is the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship. This event is scheduled for March 2 - March 4 in La Jolla, Ca.
