HAMDEN, Conn. - After six Villanova men's tennis players advanced to the semifinals with 12 recorded victories in singles action, day three of the Quinnipiac Invitational was cancelled Sunday due to rain. No makeup date will be scheduled due to conflicting schedules with the field of eight teams.

The Wildcats dominated the competition, scoring a tournament-high 23 victories in two days, including the only two championship crowns that were awarded during doubles action.

Senior Thomas O'Brien (Branford, Conn.) joined junior Kelly Donaldson (Broomfield, Colo.) to win the Flight "A" Doubles draw championship Friday afternoon, earning the duo a championship in every tournament this fall.

While, juniors Tim Abbracciamento (Robbinsville, N.J.) and Mark Miller (Englewood, Colo.) would earn their first championship of the fall in the Flight "B" Doubles Draw.

The invitational concludes the fall schedule for Villanova, after playing three successful tournament in the months September and October. The team will enjoy the rest of the year off before returning to the courts sometime in February for dual-action play.
