VILLANOVA, Pa. --- The Villanova Wildcats were defeated by UMBC, 5-2, on Wednesday, April 10 in men's tennis action played at the Villanova tennis complex. The 'Cats fall to 8-8 on the season with the loss.

In singles action, the lone Wildcats to earn a victory was junior Ryan Devine who recorded a 6-2, 6-4 win at the third spot. In doubles play, Devine and fellow classmate Brad Adams teammed up the the No. 1 spot to post a 9-7 win while Lucas Kaster and Andy Herron earned a victory of an identical score at the No. 3 spot.

Villanova will travel to Piscataway, N.J. tomorrow afternoon when they face Rugters in a Big East game at 3:00 p.m.

2- Nudo (UMBC) def. Rohde (VU): 6-0, 6-1

3- Devine (VU) def. Kouznetsou (UMBC): 6-2, 6-4

5- Baraldi (UMBC) def. Gallagher (VU): 7-6, 6-4

6- Ferguson (UMBC) def. Baraldi (VU): 6-3, 6-4

1- Adams/Devine (VU) def. Nudo/Cetaleanu (UMBC): 9-7

2- Kouznetsor/Baraldi (UMBC) def. Rohde/Kusza (VU): 8-3
