Villanova, Pa. - The Wildcats put forth their best effort on Thursday, but eventually fell to Big East opponent Georgetown 7-0. Although Villanova was not able to put a point on the board, the Wildcats did win the first doubles spot and challenge the Hoyas in every singles position, with three matches going to three sets.

Villanova jumped up on Georgetown early with a victory in the first doubles spot. Junior duo Dimitri Chimerakis and Sean Daly defeated Georgetown's Etienne Paris and Kevin Walsh 9-7 to start the match. However, the Wildcats dropped the following two spots, surrending the overall doubles point to the Hoyas.

Despite dropping the initial point, Villanova contended in all of the singles spots with Daly, Chimerakis, and Brett Tobin sending their respective matches into three sets.

Villanova is back in action on Monday, April 8 in Hamden,Conn. when they take on Quinnipiac at 3:00 p.m.
