Men's Tennis Drops A Close Match to Lafayette, 4-3.

Villanova, Pa. - Despite sweeping the doubles matches versus Lafayette on April 3, the Villanova men's tennis team came up short, 4-3. The loss drops the 'Cats record to 5-10 on the season as they head to Philadelphia rival, Drexel, on April 4. The pairings of Ryan Devine and Lucas Kaster, Brad Adams and John Toppel, and Ricardo Baraldi and Justin Goulet all won handily in the doubles portion of the match. Lafayette's top four singles players were able to save the match for the Leopards with four decisive victories. Only the Wildcats fifth and sixth singles players of Ricardo Baraldi and Carl Fenzl were able to notch wins.
Following the April 4 trip to Drexel the 'Cats host St. Johns in Big East action at the Villanova Tennis Complex on April 5. The Wildcats will look to improve their Big East record to 2-0 against the Red Storm before hitting the road again for four straight matches. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday the 6th.
