Eagles Defeat Villanova, 7-0

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The men's tennis squad dropped a 7-0 decision to the BC Eagles on Saturday afternoon at the Flynn Recreation Complex, falling to 4-9 overall and 0-3 in the Big East. It was the team's third straight loss. It was the third consecutive shutout for the Eagles (5-9, 1-0), who defeated Holy Cross and Bentley by the same score on Thursday. BC won all six of its singles matches in straight sets. Senior Chris McCoy won in the No. 2 slot, defeating Ricardo Baraldi 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore Soma Kesthely also won handily in the No. 1 position, cruising past Aaron Kusza, 6-1, 6-1. Villanova returns to action on Sunday when it faces UConn at noon.
