Washington, D.C. - The host Georgetown University Hoyas swept Villanova (6-5, 1-1 BIG EAST) 7-0 yesterday afternoon at the McDonough Tennis Complex.

The Wildcats struggled against the Hoyas, particularly in the singles matches. Freshman Brian Maher had success early against Eric Conrad in the no. 2 singles spot. Maher won the first set 6-3 but fell 2-6, 1-6 in the following two sets.

Villanova returns to action on Tuesday, Mar. 21 at 2:30 p.m. when the 'Cats travel to Lehigh.
