Wildcats Fall to Georgetown, 5-2

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Seniors Aaron Kusza and Ricardo Baraldi each won their singles matches in straight sets, but it was not enough to overcome Georgetown and the Wildcats fell to the Hoyas, 5-2, Saturday afternoon at the Villanova Tennis Complex. The Wildcats fall to 4-7 on the season while Georgetown improves to 2-4. Kusza cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Erik Bildman at No. 1 singles, while Baraldi earned a 6-3, 6-2 win over Etienne Paris, 6-3, 6-2 in his No. 2 match. Georgetown won the last four singles matches, all in straight sets, and two of the three doubles matches to secure its victory. Baraldi paired up with Sean Gallagher to post the lone doubles victory for Villanova, an 8-2 win over Maucher and Clayton. Villanova returns to action on Tuesday, March 22 when it hosts Lehigh. Matches are expected to start at 2:30 p.m.
