Villanova Men's Tennis Falls to the Terrapins

College Park, Md. - Villanova men's tennis traveled to Maryland on Saturday, March 15. The Wildcats struggled against the Terrapins falling 6-1. The loss drops Villanova's record to 2-8 on the season.

In the number one singles match the Wildcats Brad Adams (Bloomfield Hills, Mich. / Bloomfield Hills) defeated Troy Demers, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0. Maryland was able to sweep the remaining singles matches en route to the 6-1 victory.

In doubles the team of Ricardo Baraldi (Delray Beach, Fla. / Cardinal Gibbon) and Carl Fenzl (Oldsmar, Fla. / Berkley Prep) pulled out a tight victory over the team of Pierre Rudder and Rory Theis, 9-8.

The Wildcats host Georgetown on March 22. That match marks the start of a three-game home stand where Villanova will also face Duquesne (3/23) and Lehigh (3/25). The match against the Hoyas will be played at noon on the West Campus Tennis Complex.
