Riverside, Calif. - The Villanova men's tennis team suffered its third and final loss to UC Riverside in Riverside, Calif. The Wildcats (0-6) dropped a 7-0 decision to the Highlanders, who have improved to 7-3 overall.
UC Riverside began the afternoon by sweeping all three doubles positions, giving them a 1-0 lead heading into the singles matches. It wasn't until the third singles spot that Villanova could possibly get themselves on the board. However, a hard-fought battle left junior Scott Fahrendorf on the losing end after three sets. Fahrendorf was the only Villanova player to win a single set for the afternoon.
Villanova heads back to the Main Line and looks to capture its first win of the season against Lehigh on March 20 at 2:30 p.m.
