Costa Mesa, Calif. - The Villanova men's tennis team has yet to seal their first victory of the spring season with their most recent loss coming from No. 5 Vanguard University . The Wildcats drop to 0-5 on the season, while the Lions improve to 6-2.

Villanova's Charlie Farmer and John Magliano were able to combine for one point in the third doubles match to give the Wildcats one of its two total points. The junior and freshman duo defeated Vanguard's Gregory Chavalier and Garrett Gillion by a slim 9-7 margin.

Freshman Brett Tobin was also able to get Villanova on the board claiming a victory over Vanguard's Thomas Frank in the fifth singles spot. Villanova almost scored back-to-back points in the singles matches, however, Alex Lesser eventually dropped his sixth singles spot to Garrett Gillion 4-6, 6-4, 10-7.

The Wildcats continue their quest for the first victory of the spring season as they take on UC Riverside on Wednesday, March 7 in Riverside, Calif.
