Orlando, Fla. - Villanova (4-3) won five of the six singles matches as the Wildcats downed Salve Regina (2-3) 5-2 yesterday.

The Wildcats won nos. 2 through 6 singles to secure the win over the Seahawks. Sumanth Chittajallu and Larry Tran combined to defeat Michael Collins and Ted McAusher 8-1 for Villanova's only doubles win. Salve Regina took the doubles point by winning the first and second doubles matches.

1. Norton (S) def. Chimerakis (V) 6-4, 4-6, 6-2

2. Fahrendorf (V) def. Lago (S) 6-3, 6-4

3. Maher (V) def. McAusher (S) 6-0, 6-3

4. Borden (V) def. Crim (S) 2-6, 6-3, 6-3

5. Farmer (V) def. Collins (S) 6-3, 6-0

6. Malhotra (V) def. Brichon (S) 6-4, 7-6 (2)

Doubles:

1. Norton/Lago (S) def. Chimerakis/Borden (V) 8-2

2. Crim/Brichon (S) def. Fahrendorf/Maher (V) 9-8 (3)
