Steve Reiniger capped off his 17th season at Villanova in 2013-14. He is the head coach of the Wildcats women's tennis team and is also an assistant coach for the men's squad.
Reiniger came to the Wildcats program in 1994 after a four-year collegiate career at West Chester. He is U.S.P.T.A. certified and has 15 years of teaching and coaching experience at a number of different levels of tennis. Reiniger has taught at several clubs in Pennsylvania, including a stint as the teaching pro and director of junior development at Radley Run County Club. He was also the head teaching pro and the head platform tennis pro at the Merion Cricket Club. Presently, Reiniger is the director of tennis at Whitford Country Club.
As an undergraduate student-athlete Reiniger played four years of varsity tennis at West Chester, where he reached the conference finals in both singles and doubles during his junior and senior seasons. He was named the team MVP as a senior during the 1993-94 season.
Reiniger and his wife Beth, a Villanova graduate, live in Collegeville, Pa.. The couple has two children, a daughter, Rachel, and a son, David.
