VILLANOVA, Pa. - The BIG EAST opening round men's soccer match between Seton Hall and Villanova originally set for Wednesday has been moved to Thursday as a result of the impact made on the northeast by Hurricane Sandy. The Wildcats will host the Pirates.

The kickoff time of the match will be announced on Wednesday.

Villanova is the No. 4 seed in the Red Division with a 11-5-2 overall record, 3-3-2 in BIG EAST play. Seton Hall brings a 6-11-0 overall mark into this clash, including 2-6-0 in conference play. The Pirates are the No. 5 seed in the Blue Division.

The winner of this opening round match advances to meet the No. 1 seed in the Blue Division, Connecticut, in Storrs, Conn., this weekend in a conference quarterfinal. The winner there advances to the BIG EAST Championship semifinal on Nov. 9 at Red Bull Arena in Newark, N.J.
