Villanova, Pa. - Scott Rodemer, a sophomore midfielder from Doylestown, Pa., was named Philadelphia Soccer Seven Player of the Week on Monday.

Rodemer enjoyed a huge week for the Wildcats (5-7-0 overall, 3-5-0 Big East). He scored a goal and added an assist in a 3-0 victory over Monmouth on Oct. 16 at the Villanova Soccer Complex. On Saturday, he equaled that output in a 2-1 Big East victory over West Virginia University.

In two games, Rodemer notched six points last week. Rodemer has started all 12 of Villanova's games this season in the midfield.

The Wildcats take a three-game winning streak into Tuesday afternoon's Philadelphia Soccer Seven encounter with La Salle. This game was originally scheduled to be played on Sept. 12 but was canceled in light of the events of Sept. 11.
