VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova Wildcats (10-3-2 overall, 2-1-2) BIG EAST are headed south for a key BIG EAST Red Division battle at No. 21 Louisville on Saturday evening (7:00 p.m.).

"Louisville is good," stated Carlin. "This is an athletic team with the ability to score. We are in for a tough road match."

The Cardinals defeated USF in Tampa earlier in the week and are now 9-4-1 overall, 5-1-0 in the BIG EAST. Louisville is led in scoring by sophomore Will Vitalis, who has four goals and five assists for 13 points.

Villanova is looking to rebound from a 2-0 loss on Wednesday to Syracuse at the Soccer Complex which halted a seven game unbeaten string that dated to Sept. 16. Senior Kyle Soroka leads the Wildcats with six goals, two assists and 14 points.

A year ago, Louisville picked up a 2-0 victory in a game played in an October snowstorm near Villanova's campus. The Cardinals hold a 4-1-2 edge in the all-time series.

Villanova has three remaining regular season games and presently sits in fourth place in the Red Division. Louisville is atop the Red Division with 15 points followed by Syracuse (12 points) and St. John's (10 points). Cincinnati also has eight points. However, all of those schools have played one more regular season game to this point than have the Wildcats.

The Wildcats close out the regular season next week with games at Rutgers and a Senior Day match at home against Pittsburgh.
