VILLANOVA, Pa. - Senior forward Dylan Renna helped lead Villanova past La Salle last week and on Monday was named Philadelphia Soccer Six Co-Player of the Week for his efforts.
He shares the honor with Jonny Dolezal of Penn.
Renna, a senior from West Milford, N.J., contributed a goal and an assist as the Wildcats rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to defeat Philly Soccer Six rival La Salle 3-1 on Oct. 2 at McCarthy Stadium. The graduate of Don Bosco High School now has 35 career points over his four seasons as a Wildcat, including four this season.
Villanova looks to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Marquette in overtime on Saturday when it returns to action on Oct. 9. The `Cats (4-5-1 overall, 0-2-0 BIG EAST) journey north on the New Jersey Turnpike to South Orange, N.J., to face Seton Hall at 7:00 p.m.
