VILLANOVA, Pa. - Freshman forward Max Kroschwitz has been named Rookie of the Week by the Philadelphia Soccer Six, it was announced today.

Kroschwitz came through with two huge goals last Tuesday in a Soccer Six clash against Penn. With the Wildcats trailing 1-0 in the 75th minute, Kroschwitz finished off a nice cross from senior Dylan Renna to forge a 1-1 tie. Then, just 4:24 later, Kroschwitz (Pipersville, Pa.) took a feed from sophomore Sean Sheridan and knocked the ball into the goal to give Villanova the lead.

Kroschwitz is now tied for the team lead in scoring with senior Adetomiwa Adewole and Chris Hill with five points on the season.

The Wildcats (3-4-1 overall, 0-1-0 BIG EAST) return to action on Wednesday night when they head across town to face Philly Soccer Six rival La Salle at 7:00 p.m.
