VILLANOVA, Pa. -- The Villanova Wildcats are already working towards the 2018 fall season and will have an opportunity to hone their skills and teamwork with a six game spring slate that gets underway later this month.
"The spring is an important part of our team development," states Villanova head coach Tom Carlin. ""We are excited for the challenge of playing two top professional clubs as well as an ACC and Big 10 opponent. We're confident that this schedule will help our players prepare for next season and the rigors of the Big East and our non-conference schedule."
The Wildcats earned an at large bid to the 2016 NCAA Tournament and are hoping to rebound after posting a 7-11-0 mark in 2017. Part of the task this spring will be to begin to fill the void created by the departures of last year's senior class, which included Andreas Bartosinski, Christopher Bared (drafted by Seattle FC); Lucas Hodges, Max Kroschwitz, Will Steiner, and Miguel Polley.
