Former Villanova soccer standout David Jones is now in his second year as a ful-time assistant coach after having served in 2004 as a volunteer assistant.
"Jonesy was like a coach on the field for us as a player," said Larry Sullivan, "so this is the next natural step in the progression. This is someone who has been a part of our program and cares about its future."
A native of London, Jones came to Villanova and played two seasons for the Wildcats. In 2000 he was limited to four games as a midfielder before injury forced him to the sidelines. As a senior in 2001, he anchored Villanova's defense in the center and served as a team captain.
Jones graduated with an Arts and Science degree in 2002. He was born in Hammersmith, England on April 27, 1976.
