Villanova Soccer Field
A view of midfield.|
Overlooking Villanova University's beautiful west campus is the Villanova Soccer Field. Established in the fall of 1992 as the new home for the Wildcat men and women's soccer programs, the Villanova Soccer Field was recently leveled and re-sodded making it a top-notch facility and one of the most beautiful in the Big East.
On west campus and looking directly out at the Villanova Soccer Field are the newly constructed upperclassmen apartment complexes. In their fourth year of use in 1997-98, the apartments offer a wealth of parking for fans attending Wildcat soccer games.
Right next to the Villanova Soccer Field, is the Wildcat soccer practice facility, used by the men and women's soccer programs during practice to keep the Villanova Soccer Field in perfect playing conditions for games. During the last two seasons, the Wildcat men's soccer team has tallied a 9-6-1 record at home including a 6-3-1 record in 1996 at the Villanova Soccer Field.
Last season, the Wildcats upset nationally ranked Notre Dame at home 2-1. During the last five years as senior classes have come and gone, one element has remained the same, the Wildcats home field advantage at the Villanova Soccer Field.
