3rd Annual Nick Colleluori Lacrosse Classic Schedule

VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova Men's Lacrosse team will compete in their first fall tournament this weekend as they travel to Folsom, Pa. to participate in the 3rd Annual Nick Colleluori Lacrosse Classic. The tournament will take place on Saturday, Oct. 10th at Ridley High School and features 12 NCAA Division I teams as well as an additional round-robin tournament on Sunday, Oct. 11th for NCAA Division III teams.

Villanova will take on Mount St. Mary's at 3:30 p.m. and will immediately follow with another contest vs. UMBC at 5 p.m. Both games are scheduled for the Stadium Turf Field.

Participating Division I teams this year include perennial lacrosse powerhouses Hofstra, Rutgers, St. Joseph's, UMBC, Drexel, Lafayette, Mount St. Mary's, Detroit Mercy and Penn.

Each year, the HEADstrong Foundation hosts this lacrosse tournament with the hope of building a team of champions to combat blood cancer. All proceeds from the event will go to cancer research. Last year, the HEADstrong Foundation raised over $150,000 to aid the fight against cancer.
