David Marks begins his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Wildcats men?s lacrosse team. Marks is the oldest son of head coach Randy Marks and will continue to work primarily with the offense in 2003. He also will be responsible for working with the goalkeepers.
A native of Glenmoore, Pa., Marks grew up around Villanova lacrosse. Following in his father?s footsteps Marks attended Villanova where he was a standout member of the lacrosse team for two years. In both 1995 and ?96 he led the Wildcats in scoring. During his two years on the Main Line he started all 30 games, tallied 70 points (34 goals, 36 assists), and gathered 141 groundballs. Following his freshman year at Villanova he also was named Rookie of the Year. 1997 brought change for Marks as he transfered to Johns Hopkins. There he flourished as a two-year starter. He finished his career in 1998 as the third leading scorer that season. He also earned the accolade of Most Improved Senior.
Before arriving at Villanova, Marks coached at Downingtown High School as the offensive coordinator and goalies coach. He currently resides in West Chester, Pa.
