Volunteer Assistant Coach

A four-year starter for the Wildcats who graduated in 2004, Dave Cacciabeve begins his first season as a volunteer assistant coach. Cacciabeve will assist Coach Marks on the offensive end of the field as part of his responsibilities this season.

In four years at Villanova, Cacciabeve totalled 42 goals, 12 assists, 54 points and 76 ground balls. He concluded his career in top form in 2004, contributing 14 goals and three assists while picking up 19 ground balls for a team that won a program-record 12 games.

A native of Morristown, N.J., Cacciabeve was a standout lacrosse and hockey player at Delbarton High School. He earned two varsity letters as a defender in hockey, and was a three-year letterwinner at midfield for the lacrosse team.

Cacciabeve graduated Villanova in May 2004 with a degree in Finance, and recently accepted a position at Smith Barney. He plans to pursue a Master's degree at Villanova, and will enroll in a graduate program for Finance this summer. Cacciabeve is single and resides in Manayunk, Pa.
