VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova Golf team will be making the trek to Jonesborough, Tenn. this weekend for the 2013 Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, hosted by East Tennessee State University. The three day event will run from Oct. 11-13th at the Blackthorn Club at the Ridges, a par-72, 7,147 yard course located in the foothills of northeast Tennessee.
The course, designed by Arthur Hills who was twice named Golf Digest's "Architect of the Year", will host Army, Coastal Carolina, ETSU, Furman, Kent State, Memphis, Missouri, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, UNC Wilmington and Villanova this weekend for three rounds of play. On Friday and Saturday each team will tee off from No. 1 starting at 8:30am-12:40pm while on Sunday start times will be split from No. 1 and No. 10 at 8:30am and 9am, respectively.

The Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate serves as the penultimate fall event for the season for the Wildcats, who end the semester at the Lehigh Invitational on Oct. 27-28 in Bethlehem, Pa. Senior Robby Meador (Miami Lakes, Fla.) led the Wildcats with a career-best 14th place finish in their last outing at the Patriot Intercollegiate on Sept. 28-29th and recorded the second-best score on the final day with a 69 (-2) to lead Villanova.
