GALLOWAY, N.J. - Sophomore Brendan Kelly tied for 31st place out of 80 golfers in the individual standings and Villanova placed 15th out of 15 teams after the final round of the Columbia Invitational was played on Sunday at Galloway National Golf Course. The 54-hole tournament at the par-71, 6,966-yard course was contested over the past three days, including two of the three rounds being played in chilly and windy conditions.

Kelly carded an 82 on Sunday to finish with a three-round score of 79-74-82=235 (+19) and claim team medalist honors for the third straight week and fourth time in five tournaments this fall. Senior Doug Stadler came in second on the team and tied for 56th overall with scores of 78-82-84=244.

The low team score in the final round came from freshman Eddie Ryan, who shot an 81 and finished the weekend at 86-84-81=251 to tie for 68th place. Sophomore Conor Casey matched Kelly with an 82 on Sunday and placed 71st with marks of 83-87-82=252. Classmate Joe Bernard had the drop score on Sunday and finished in 75th place with scores of 87-83-86=256.

TCU secured the team title by a nine-stroke margin over Florida and finished with a team total of 894. The Horned Frogs placed four players in the top six of the field and Tom Hoge tied with Tim McKenney of Florida for the individual title with a score of 221 (+5). There were just two individual rounds at even par and none below par for the weekend.
