JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. - The Villanova men’s golf team finished up play on the second day of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. The Wildcats are currently in 15th place in a highly challenging field after scoring combined rounds of 298-294= 592 (+16).
Penn State is still currently in the lead after scoring rounds of 277-272=549 (-27). Behind Penn State is Missouri, Kent State, Louisville, Tennessee, Coastal Carolina, ETSU, UNCW, East Carolina, Virginia, Kansas State, and VCU. Furman, Virginia Tech, and Villanova round out the leaderboard.
Villanova is still led by senior Andy Butler who has carded rounds of 71- 71=142 (-2). He is tied for 22nd place overall heading into tomorrow’s final round.
Sophomore Connor Daly continues to be in second in Villanova’s group after scoring rounds of 73-72= 145 (+1). He is tied for 38th overall. Freshman Matt Barnes is tied for 65th place after shooting rounds of 76-74=150 (+6). Freshman Reb Banas is tied for 78th place, after shooting rounds of 79-77= 156 (+11). Senior Zach Egermayer is in 83rd place after carding rounds of 80-83=163 (+19).
