Golf wraps up day one play at Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate

Day One Results

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. - The Villanova men’s golf team wrapped up play on the first day of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. The Wildcats are currently in 13th place in a highly challenging field after scoring a combined round of 298 (+10). 


Penn State is currently in the lead after scoring a round of 277 (-11). Behind Penn State is Tennessee, UNCW, Louisville, Coastal Carolina, Kent State, Missouri, Virginia, Furman, Kansas State, East Carolina and ETSU. Villanova, VCU, and Virginia Tech round out the leaderboard.

Villanova was led by senior Andy Butler who carded a round of 71 (-1). He is tied for 21st place overall heading into tomorrow’s round. 

Sophomore 
Connor Daly is in second in Villanova’s group after scoring a round of 73 (+1). He is tied for 38th overall. Freshman Matt Barnes is tied for 62nd place after shooting a round of 76 (+4). Freshman Reb Banas is tied for 69th place, after shooting a round of 79 (+7). Senior Zach Egermayer is tied for 80th place after carding a round of 80 (+8).
